NAME
dudisc, dudisc_du* - set line discipline for Dialup IP
SYNOPSIS
dudisc
[ -d level ]
duinstall
device
DESCRIPTION
Dudisc sets the line discipline on the current tty to use the
Dialup IP line discipline.
The program is intended to be the login shell for the username associated
with a remote site.
The ``-d'' flag may be used to specify the amount of debugging information
to record, and should be a number between zero and three, inclusive;
higher numbers generate more output.
The default is zero, to produce no output.
Dudisc examines the name by which it was invoked and determine the
name of the interface to configure.
This is normally done by linking dudisc to several different names.
The alternate names should follow the format dudisc_dua# where
a# is the interface number.
Note that users should have generally have a .hushlogin file in
their home directory if they are using the standard login program.
The utility program duinstall creates the appropriate links.
FILES
